Max joins Edenvale Young as a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller as of February 2021 and is one of our two new members of staff. Below, he describes in his own words, his experience to date and what he hopes to gain from being a member of team EVY:
I graduated from the University of Manchester in October 2020 with an MSc in Aerospace Engineering. The course was centred around computational fluid dynamics, research, and design. For my dissertation, I used CFD simulations to quantify the performance of a series of insect-like shapes for nano UAV use.
In joining Edenvale Young, I am excited to use my skills in modelling for a company with a focus on sustainability. I am also eager to develop new software skills and gain knowledge in the civil and geotechnical areas of the business.
I spend my spare time drumming, playing rugby and generally getting out and about. Hailing from Dorset, I’m also excited to move to Bristol to be part of a metropolitan environment and am greatly looking forward to start work at EVY’s office in the old city.
