John Young

Silverthorne Lane

After much hard work and nail biting moments, we at Edenvale Young are delighted to hear that the Secretary of State has finally made a decision about the Silverthorne Lane development. Edenvale Young undertook the flood modelling, provided the Flood Risk Assessment and acted as expert witnesses for the Public Inquiry for the scheme. He found in favour of our client and has granted planning permission for the scheme to go ahead. It is a big win and in conjunction with the Feeder Road decision will help to define the criteria for evaluating flooding in Bristol for years to come.

A lot of hard work went in to the Silverthorne Lane scheme particularly in the run up to the Public Inquiry and I would like give a big shout out to Clive, Juliette, Dani, Pavel, Pete and Sally for getting the work over the line. We could not be prouder of our team and not surprisingly our client is exceptionally happy too.

The development includes provision for a desperately needed secondary school for East Bristol and we couldn’t be happier that the over and above hard work that our team has put in to support the planning application for this development, has helped win the day.
