Edenvale Young Associates Limited (EVY), were commissioned by Greenways and Cycleroutes Ltd to undertake hydraulic modelling of the proposed cycle route from Aylesbury Parkway Station to Haydon Hill.
The objective of the modelling was to investigate the impact of the proposed cycle route which crosses the flood plain of the River Thame at Aylesbury and prepare a Hydraulic modelling Report in order to support an existing planning application.
The cycleway received planning permission in July and will eventually help create a valuable dedicated cycle and walking route, joining the centre of Aylesbury to Waddesdon Manor and village.
Clearance work for the construction of the Haydon Hill cycleway commenced in October 2020 to avoid the nesting season with the main construction work scheduled to commence in April 2021.
This extension to the Waddesdon Greenway will provide a cycle and pedestrian friendly route from Waddesdon Manor to Aylesbury town centre via Aylesbury Vale Parkway railway station and Haydon Hill.
