Happy fish at Holland Wood Weir Fish Pass
“The Holland Wood fish pass on the River Darwen was commissioned by the Wade Group to a design prepared by Edenvale Young for the Ribble Rivers’ Trust.
The fish pass comprises a series of riffle pool features running down the pass. The structure is primarily formed in rock using local gritstone with a concrete inlet weir.
The next ambition is to reduce the amount of plastic products used in the construction of rock ramp fish passes.”
