If you are looking for the opportunity to develop and enhance your skill base then look no further. As a small consultancy without the same financial resources of larger companies, Edenvale Young are constantly having to innovate and this one of the benefits or working for a small SME, the very real scope for using and developing your skills creatively.

You will have the support of our multidisciplanary team which includes civil engineers, hydrologists, environmental scientists and hydraulic modellers. Our directors have over 80 years experience between them and have succeeded in building excellent professional relationships with clients and other consultancies.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is an important part of staff development and every team member is encouraged to actively take part in conferences and other training events. By actively engaging and networking with industry specialists and regularly attending events on industry developments, we aim to constantly better our understanding of engineering and hydraulics and use this in our work.

Graduate or postgraduate wanted – Bristol

Are you a keen and enthusiastic graduate or postgraduate interested in working for a small scientific and civil engineering consultancy in Bristol?

Edenvale Young Associates Ltd are looking to employ a new team member to work in our lively consultancy in Bristol. Previous academic or professional experience in the sector is not a requirement. Edenvale Young believes in mentoring and training to ensure that staff are technically competent and industry aware. We have a diverse range of work in the fluvial and coastal sectors of the industry and would welcome applications from graduates with an interest in the following:-

  • Fluvial science and engineering
  • Coastal and estuarine science and engineering
  • Environmental science and engineering
  • River Restoration and Bio-engineering
  • Mathematical modelling of rivers and coasts (flooding)
  • Flood forecasting

Postgraduates holding higher degrees would ideally have an MSc, MEng or PhD in related disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources and Mathematics. Graduate Hydraulic Modellers – 2020 Summer Intake

Edenvale Young are putting out a call to those expecting to graduate in 2020 and with an interest in modelling. No previous experience in modelling is required but ideal candidates would have qualifications or strong interest in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Environmental Science
  • Civil/Coastal Engineering
  • Fluvial Geomorphology
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Numerical Modelling
  • River Restoration
  • Hydrology
