As the team here at Edenvale Young continue to work hard with our collaborators in the TUFLOW Team to deliver the UK/Europe 2025 User Conference and we are getting to a point where the draft programme will be available.

As mentioned in our earlier post, this year’s conference will lead on the the theme of The Human Element and we are delighted to announce that Professor Anusha Shah, 159th and immediate former President of the Institution of Civil Engineers has kindly agreed to give our Keynote Address. Anusha is a Senior Director for Resilient Cities and UK Climate Adaptation Lead for Arcadis in London, an NED for UK Met Office and Trustee at the Green Alliance.

Of course it goes without saying that our conference would not be complete without Bill Syme, BMT’s Software Business Lead and of course TUFLOW developer. Bill will be giving a presentation entitled Certain about Uncertainty.

We are also looking forward to his collaboration with our very own John Young, Director and founder of EVY entitled A retrospective look back. They have witnessed the changing face of the industry throughout their respective careers and will be able to share with us their thoughts on what’s worked, what hasn’t and what has brought the biggest surprises.

Our collaboration with the TUFLOW Team has always been about showcasing the TUFLOW Software but also how TUFLOW sits in the wider framework which has attracted modellers as well as those that benefit from the modelling. When we get the time to look outside of our models, there is a real world out there in which our data and outputs are consumed to create a better world for all.
