Edenvale Young is a Civil Engineering and Scientific Consultancy specialising in the fluvial, coastal and maritime environment. Based in Bristol, the team includes civil engineers, hydrologists, hydraulic modellers, geomorphologists and environmental scientists.
Our work includes flood risk assessment and sustainable drainage, river restoration, fish passage and flood forecasting. A large proportion of projects are flood-related and Edenvale Young is particularly well-known as a source of fluvial modelling with expertise in Flood Modeller (ISIS), TUFLOW, TUFLOW FV, Open FOAM.
In June 2018 Edenvale Young won the NCE100 design innovator award which is arguably one of the most prestigious awards in Civil Engineering in the UK. In 2016, Edenvale Young was given two prestigious awards for work in flood alleviation, geomorphology, hydraulic modelling and detailed design.

In June 2016 Edenvale Young was given this prestigious award for our work on the Rhiwbina Flood Alleviation Scheme in Cardiff.
In June 2016 Edenvale Young was also given this award for our work on the Pont Briwet Bridge Transport Improvment Project.
Edenvale Young operates in a broad range of technical disciplines from maritime, coastal and fluvial engineering. Within these fields, Edenvale Young undertake detailed hydraulic and geomorphological modelling along with training and development for other practitioners.
We are able to take projects, large and small, from inception through to the completion of engineering and flood defence works.
